Welcome to the New York State Disabilities Advocacy Association and Network!  

The goal of this site is to provide a clearinghouse of information to support advocacy services for people with disabilities and their families in New York State, assist advocates, advocacy groups and organizations in finding up-to-date, useful information, increase access to advocacy groups and organizations, training and support, and collect and share advocacy stories and best practices, which can inspire individuals with disabilities, their families and caregivers, and their advocates and service providers.   How to Use This Site

The site is organized by the tabs near the top of the page which are also duplicated by headings at the bottom.

The Events tab brings you to information aobut NYSDAAN sponsored conferences, regional forums, events sponsored by NYSDAAN members, and other events and training opportunities of interest to people with disabilities and to advocates.

The Resources tab accesses links to New York State Government websites of interest to people with disabilities, key national links, an A to Z listing of this website, and an Alphabetically indexed list by topic of web-based resources for people with disabilities and for advocates.

The Topics area provides current information on advocacy, education, employment, health, housing, recreation, technology and travel.

The For Advocates area covers principles of practice, legislation, public policy issues, and task force reports on various issues.

The Membership area lists current NYSDAAN members, plus information on both individual and organizational membership. We would be pleased to have you join us in sharing information and resources.
